Our children are drifting away from their Christian faith and roots
73% of Christian parents in the U.S. are deeply concerned that as their children grow older, they may be swept away by this storm, straying from the faith they were raised in.
To tackle this issue, Hampton University School of Religion is collaborating with key stakeholders in the Hampton Roads community launching the Roots & Wings initiative

Training of Trainers
The Training of Trainers (ToT) program is the cornerstone of the Roots & Wings initiative.
ACTIVATION
Key activities for launching the Roots and Wings movement.
Listening and Learning Sessions
We will engage with parents, caregivers, pastors, and ministry leaders to understand their specific needs and challenges, ensuring that our solutions are tailored and relevant.
Development of Resources
We will provide user-friendly, accessible, and spiritually enriching materials that parents and congregations can use to strengthen their faith and values.
Training of Trainers (ToT)
We will train a core group of leaders who will become catalysts in their communities, equipped to guide and support others through the storm.
Online and In-Person Support
Continuous support will be provided through traditional and digital formats. Support will consist of an online portal, mobile app, and in-person training ensuring that help is always in reach.
